Crown

Crowns (or 'caps') are used to protect and restore damaged, root filled or discoloured teeth to their former glory. They cover the entire outer surface of your prepared tooth.  We use different types of crown depending on the individual case and your specific requirements. We offer porcelain bonded to metal crowns, all ceramic crowns and even all gold crowns- we will explain the different options available to you and answer all your questions during your consultation. Once fitted your crowns will look completely natural and indistinguishable from your surrounding teeth.

Dental bridge

A bridge consists of 2 or more crowns fused together and is used when we wish to replace a missing tooth or teeth , or to 'bridge' a large gap between healthy teeth or implants. A bridge restores the size and shape of your original teeth. As with crowns, different materials are used depending on your particular needs.

Alternative solutions for replacing missing teeth are implants and telescopic bridge dentures.

Hygiene

It is very important to clean thoroughly around crown margins and  under the bridge using dental floss and special interdental brushes to avoid tooth decay and pocket formation . We will show you  the best way to look after your new restorations.
